Step by step report the Itasha Mazda RX-7(FD) "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"

Step 3 : Modify the Interior 1

As for the interior of this kit, series 6-8 are mixed because Aoshima releases some variation models of the RX-7(FD). I unified it in series 8.

Front Seats and Rear Seat

Carved the seams, and put the stretcher of a plastic.

I also carved the seams of rear seat, and replicated the speaker mesh of the inner paper of cigarette box.

steering wheel

Compared with the real leather spoke of the steering wheel, This kit part is too sharp. I filed off the edge of it.

Puttied the hollow part of steering column, and put the ignition key cylinder.the column levers were separated for sandpapered a parting line once.

Pedals

Replicated the option aluminum accelerator pedal and footrest.

Dashboard

The dashboard of the kit is series 6 or 7 (none airbag type for passenger seat). I puttied the panel line on the glove box, and put the airbag cover.

Display Monitor for Car Navigation System

I replicated the lower berth of car stereo decks into in-dashboard type monitor.

Scratch build the display monitor of the plastic sheets.
