Remodel of FUJIMI 1/24 scale Enthusiast model Series Lamborghini Countach LP400 |
How to build Lamborghini Countach LP500 Prototype |
|
Step 7: Adjustment the hinges etc.
As for LP500 and LP400, a dashboard's design is quite different. Thereupon,
I gave up the reconstruction of LP400 kit parts, and scratch built it.
Adjustment the headlight hinges
I remodeled a popup system of the headlights. This light pod is upped with a lever. I put a cam on the fulcrum (in the red circle). This adjustment was very hard work. But as a result, the headlights came to open more smoothly.
Adjustment the door hinges
An error occurred in the opening of panel line by thickness of a paint
layer. When the door is opened, the tip rubs against a fender. It causes
the surface of the fender to be damaged. I shaved the point which the fender
rubbed against diagonally. This problem was canceled by this work.
I put the open stay to the engine bonnet same as the countach LP400S model.
Joined the Chassis to the Body
I joined the chassis to the body.
I built the triangular beams, and put them to the body and the chassis.
Next, I sandwiched a black plate between the body and the chassis to hide
beams.
I put muffler on the black plate.
I put the muffler guard panel. It looks like this.
Put the Front Grill
I painted the front grill light metallic gray. Next, I made the "countach"
special logo decal by the Alps MD printer, and paste it on the grill, and
coated clear color.
I put the front gril to the front nose of body.
Put the Logo Emblems
There is the "lamborghini" logo emblem at the left of right tail
light. I used a photoetch part for it. I made a guide of put point with
masking tapes, and put the photoetch rogo.
There are logo emblems of "Beltorne" behind door panels. I used the metal letterings of Hasegawa 1/24 scale Lamborghini Miura for them.
Completed!
I had a great deal of difficulty in complete the 1/24 Lamborghini Countach LP500 prototype model. I repeated the countless try and error in this work. This project extended over a period of 2 years 3 months. Of course, it is the longest in my experience. I think that I have not suffered in vain. I get dog]tired...
