How to build Mitsubishi A6M2B Zero Fighter Type 21


Step 4: Wings and Painting 1


It is the part of December, 2007 issue from this time.



Wing tips (unfolding type)

The wings can be selected from holding position or unfolding position. I remodeled them into the exchange parts.

Put the pins of brass line into the wing tip part.



Put the chip of vinyl tube into the section of wings. It has a stopper effect.





Reproduce the Wing tips

I made a rubber cast of wing tips, and reproduced them for the folding wings.



Put a chip of clear runner.



Masked around and sandpapered it.



polished with a compound, and the copied wing tips were finished.





Other Detailed Parts

Tail light was changed for a clear part as same way.



Scratched build pitot tube of brass tube and brass line.





Painting

Airbrushed the inside of the wings in metallic blue green.



Airbrushed the body color.





Decal

Cut the decal to fit into the panel line.



Replicated the muzzle of a brass tube.





Clear Painting

Airbrushed the body in semi gross clear paint after decal was dried.
